Thinking about trying Biodiesel in my 2005 dodge 4x4 2500 anyone used it before? If so were there any problems? Did you get better gas mileage? I am going to use the B20.

  1. i do

  2. b20 works ok in your truck but if you end up in an area where it gets down to 20 to 30 below zero it has a tendancy to gell up

  3. I use hydrogen.  You can do it yourself within a hour or two. It works for me. I have done this to my 96 Saturn and currently get about 50 miles per gallon.

I wrote a blog review about it here:

It's very simple. You don't change your engine or computer. A quart-size (95O cc) container is placed somewhere under the hood. You fill it with DISTILLED WATER and a little bit of BAKING SODA. The device gets vacuum and electricity (12 Volts) from the engine, and produces HHO gas (Hydrogen+Oxygen). The HHO gas is supplied to the engine's intake manifold or carburetor as shown below.

    Hope this helps.

  4. B20 will be fine in a cummins.  Just keep some extra fuel filters as biodiesel is caustic and will clean out your fuel tank and all the diesel gunk will clog your fuel filters.  If you see a lose of power or the engine just cuts off it is most likely the fuel filter.  The NBB estimates B20's gel point at -23F so you should be fine in the winter unless your in an extremely cold climate.
