Question:

Anyone visit Cabo in December?

My family is planning some big group vacation and my father-in-law suggested we all go to Cabo San Lucas between X-mas and New Years. I checked the weather and it ranges from 65-80 degrees in December, but that just seems too cold to me! I've never been there before, but I hear even in the summer the ocean is way too cold to get in. Wouldn't it be miserable in winter? Has anyone been in December? What was your experience? Thanks!

  1. I don't know if its because I'm a canadian living down here in Cabo, but I have never found it to be very cold ever.  Sure, I don a sweater and maybe a pair of jeans at night around Dec/Jan, but really I think its lovely during the day and never have I thought....buurrr.  But then it's usually minus 30 at home.  So plus 20 is pretty good.  The ocean is a little colder in the winter, but I think its tolerable.

There is no such thing as a miserable day in Cabo.  Seriously.

  2. The first two times we went to Los Cabos was during the holiday time and felt the weather was perfect.  Yes the  water is colder than summer . We advise a wetsuit when snorkeling or diving.  The beaches are for best for sunning when el sol is not as intense. The Pacific side is known for it's strong rip tides and swimming is not advised there anytime. On the Sea of Cortez, the swimming is limited but possible. watch for the flags.     Daytime excursions are more enjoyable without the heat and the nightlife heats up anywhere you go.

Christmas is a special holiday in Mexico and the NYE celebration muy grande! Wether it's catching Sammy at the Wabo or fireworks on the beach  at midnight.

      Our vote is to go..
