Anyone want to predict AL playoff scenario leading to the World Series?

Question

Besides the West, the rest of the spots are up for grabs. Do you think Tampa Bay will hold on to first place in the East? Who will get the wild card? How will the ALDS and ALCS play out? List predictions. My guess is the Angels will sweep the Sox in the ALDS and beat the Twins in the ALCS just like in '02 on route to their 2nd World Series championship. Please list reasonable answers, Joba Chamberlain is not going to save the entire Yankee pitching staff!

It's interesting how quickly one can make a prediction with their team taking it all. I am an Angels fan, and have been since I was a kid. I know that even the best team can lose. We have a very good series coming up with the Rays next week. Should be a good one!  If the Angels can keep the bats going, I don't see anyone beating them. I also know that when our bats get cold, well some panic does set in. Since the All-star break the Angels have been the hottest team in baseball.

The Rays and Cubs have also been impressive. I am somewhat disappointed with the Redsox and Yankees, if they're not careful you might not see them in the post-season with a Minnesota team that won't quit.

With that said I do see the Redsox barely squeeking in, too bad the Angels really have their number. The ALCS is going to come out of the East and West, probably Rays vs. Angels. This is the way I am going to predict based on the current streaks.

1 Angels vs. 4 Boston = Angels

2 Rays vs. 3 Whitesox = Rays

Angels vs. Rays = Next weeks series will tell it all.

Whoever has the strongest showing, that's the one

I'm saying should take it all. Home team advantage

should be all that it takes to take the series.

Tampa will win the division.  Red Sox will win wild card and White Sox will win central.  

Angels beat Red Sox: Have a better rotation and more consistent play.

White Sox beat Rays: Inexperience and lack of hitting kill Rays.

Angels beat White Sox: White Sox have a few underachieving players, and seem to only win games offensively by way of the home run.  Angels can beat you in a grinding game, power game, small-ball game, and they've got a little more experience then the White Sox players.
