  1. Definitely apply for scholarships early.  Don't stop at just applying for the Financial Aid.  It is possible to attend schol without loans.  Be sure to research colleges that you want to attend and see what scholarships they offer and what their requirements are for scholarships and admissions.  Keep your grades up.  STAY ON YOUR GUIDANCE COUNSELORS about submitting your name, grades, recommendation ltrs, etc...  Ask to review what they submit before they do, but be courteous about it.

  2. I help people enroll in college and help them apply for funding.  You can email me at any time.

Apply for fafsa in Feb/March of your senior year, save as much money as possible between now and then, get a great GPA and work hard at finding scholarships.  Private loans are evil and the financial aid office is your best friend.

    Here are some good links.

  3. If you do not want to get student loans, you may qualify for state aid or school based aid depending upon the school. You could also consider work-study or AmeriCorps to help with your cost of attendance.

  4. alright, fastgrandma32@yahoo.com

  5. Its simple and not as complicated as you think.

    Go to this website www.fafsa.ed.gov

Fill out the FAFSA and wait a few days or week and get in contact with the school that you have in mind to attend at.

They will help you in what you need and you can always ask them about there scholarships.

  6. I had a hard time finding a scholarship but you shouldn't be afraid of getting a student loan. After you graduate from college you have 6 months before you even have to start paying it back. It is definitely an option you should take seriously. If you have no one to go to then you should definitely do the FAFSA. If your financial resources are limited you could qualify for federal grants.
