Anyone watch UFC 87 - Brocks fight? wat do you think?

i honestly thought he would destroy the bloke.

Ill admit, i dont know much about UFC or the fighters so maybe ima bit biased.

But, i was terribly dissapointed in it, 1st punch brock threw was the highlight for me. He held the guy for most of the fight. Credit to the other fighter though, he took some good punches. What do u guys think?

i was pretty impressed by the way he controlled the fight on the ground.  i know it didn't make for the most entertaining fight, but at that point i'm sure lesner was more concerned about getting his first win in the ufc.

another thing, is that this was just his 3rd mma fight, so when he's in there, its seems that his wrestling instincts take over, and he would rather control his opponent on the ground, than go for a submission.  i think with more fights, he'll develop better mma instincts, where he will use his wrestling not only to control the other guy, but to also utilize the positions he's in to finish the fight.

Lesnar's got a long way to go in terms of technical skills and fighters with wrestling backgrounds do have a tendency to "lay and pray."

Having said that, Heath Herring is a top mma veteran so he showed he's got a ton of potential by beating him. His size and strength alone make him hard to deal with; if he gets some ground game going he could be one of the greats.

I thought it was the worst fight of the night.  Brock Lesnar would take Heath Herring down then just sit on him for the rest of the round.  THey need to match Lesnar up with fighters who have good submission skills so Lesnar won't be so apt to just sit on guys and we can actually see people fight.

He didn't just hold the guy. He controlled and dominated every aspect of a more experienced well rounded fighter.

HE DID DESTROY HERRING! U must not know anything! DID U SEE HERRINGS EYE! HES GONNA NEED AROUND 10 STICHES! and Lesnar must have cracked at least two or three ribs in Herring.

I was actually impressed. He was literally smashing him the WHOLE fight!! He will do great in MMA. His size and strength will definitely be his advantage in his fights.

I was disappointed about Huerta's loss although. He didn't look the same, sick, sad, nervous, I couldn't point it out, but he wasn't the same Huerta we saw in his previous fights.

Listin Im a ufc junkie, ive watched it ever since day on seriously, my thoughts on Brock, he really impressed me, heath herring has been around for a while, he had this fight on paper, but brock really showed us what he has.
