  1. Patch for sure.

  2. Your question indicates that you think it has to be one or the other.  That was also the position of his roommate and the dean of the medical school.  The whole point of the movie, and Patch's position is that you can be technically proficient and caring at the same time.  As for myself, I believe that a doctor who cares about his patients will make sure he is technically knowledgeable about the case at hand.

  3. Like Patch.

However, I won't "support my answer" because that "support' will end up being YOUR essay.

  4. it is generally better to have a doc like patch becoz the profession also involves interpersonal skills & empathy towards patient & his/her suffering. the patient needs someone s/he can confide in, be relaxed with, explain all the symptoms, understand the ailment, etc. - a doctor you can open up to. patch also is very passionate about his vocation.

however, there may also be times/situations when a firm hand & some aloofness/authority are required. while one should not take everything very seriously, one can neither be very complacent or jocular about it. hence, a blend of patch & his roommate, depending on the particular situation is best.

    hope this helps

    all the best

  5. I didn't watch the movie but he is my town right now as we speak doing a show and talking about is life, ect.
