I obviously did not play on the team, but I am familiar with the club.  Mizuno is the top team in each age group.  I have just looked at the list of coaches for AJV.  They are diverse.  It would be impossible to tell you exactly what that group of coaches would look for.

With that being said, we can generalize.  Since they are the top team in each age group and AJV is one of the top clubs in the Lone Star region, they want commitment.  You need to be at every practice.  You need to be at every tournament.  And you need to work out when you are not practicing and playing.  You also need to be ready to travel.  Mizuno plays at many of the qualifiers around the country.  If you do not want to make that level of commitment, you can be moved to the Navy team.
