Anyone who considers themselves to be a vegetarian, please take a moment to look at this...?

I need to do some research, leading to creating a meal aimed at vegetarians. Only problem is I barely know any, only a few here and there! So I figured, maybe if I post it on Yahoo Answers... Please don't give advice on the meal or improving the questionnaire, I'm supposed to figure it all out myself.

    to be completely honest, NO! I occasionally miss having doritos, but thats about it =) I've never felt better, whats to miss?

    7. I've never seen any evidence that I've lost iron in my diet. I don't take any kind of iron supplement and I donate blood every 8 weeks.

    -Pasta, because you can do a lot with it.

    -Cheesecake was my favorite dessert for 20 years.

    7. Do you take any supplements to replace the lost iron in your diet?

    -I take iron supplements, but I had to take those before I went vegan anyway.  My iron has actually improved since going vegan.  I think the reason for this is because animal products can make it hard for iron to absorb into your bone marrow.  However, fruits make it easier for iron to absorb.

    Almost all. Meat is too nice. Veganism attacks one of life’s greatest and surest pleasures - enjoying good food. Anything which makes people less happy is bad.

    No. My physician told me that no supplements is necessary as i'm living much healthier than many other patients. My through blood screening had not shown any adverse report.

    Dairy? Yes, but not eggs straight. If they are in something, that's okay for me.

    6. Is there any food you miss since becoming a vegetarian? Actually, no. I've been a vegetarian most of my life, since I was five. Now, I'm 16 and I can't remember what anything tastes like. So if you miss something, you'll eventually forget what it tastes like!

    7. Do you take any supplements to replace the lost iron in your diet? No, though I should. Watch your iron counts, especially if you don't eat a lot of grains. I have low iron, which is some times a hassle.

  8. 1.  No vegetarian eats fish.  A true vegetarian avoids gelatin.  A vegan does not eat dairy.  .

    3.  For pre-processed ones, Garlic Salt.  For flavoured things, White Truffle Oil and fresh Olive Oil.  For fresh, Basil.  

    7.  I take supplements, but not to replace "lost iron".  I eat a balanced diet - I don't need iron supplements.  My supplements are to holistically treat certain issues.

  10. I eat a little dairy!  No fish!  The only Gelatine I eat is made from Locust Bean gum! favourite Vegetable: toss up between broccoli and spinach! Favourite Seasoning: habenaro! Favourite fruit it's a toss up between banana and papaya!   No theres nothing I miss!  No need to take any supplements  I eat a varied enough diet so I get all nutrients and protein I need!  There is more iron in green veggies than any supplements!  Supplements are just a money scam to get one to buy what they really don't need!  Meat eaters need supplements much more than any vegetarians because meat is dead protein  and loaded with cholesteral fats very unhealthy substance! as for nuts why not?  I eat alot of peanut butter and that is made with nuts! I make sure the peanut butter is free of animal fats! Undecided about hi-carbs!

    7. Do you take any supplements to replace the lost iron in your diet?  I only take B-12.  Vegetarians can easily get enough iron- anemia is actually more common among meat eaters.  Beans have more iron than poultry, and tofu has more iron than beef.

    Paprika, nutritional yeast, cilantro, onion, garlic, cumin, and saffron.

    I love them all but I really love bread.

    Sometimes I miss cheese even if it made me sick and is nauseating and sicking, but vegan cheese satisfies me well.

    No I do not take any supplements I get all my nutrients from eating food. You know the hundreds of plant based foods that have Iron and other nutrients such as spinach, potato, beans (black, lentils, pinto, soy), quinoa, tempeh, peas, nuts (cashews, almonds), watermelon, meat substitutes, broccoli, seaweeds, dried apricots, wholemeal bread, raisins, prunes, dates, seeds (sesame, sunflower, pumpkin), chickpeas, black-eyed peas, legumes, oatmeal, dark-green leafy vegetables, cabbage, tofu, pulses, wheat-germ, parsley, millet, blackstrap molasses, tomato juice, soy milk, teff, whole wheat bread, cream of wheat, etc.

  24. 1) dairy yes, fish no, nuts yes, gelatine rarely. i used to have it all the time when i was little, and then i stopped. but a couple of months ago i got braces and it hurt to eat anything, so i ended up having jello every day for a week...i feel guilty now XD

    7) i took megateen vitamins for a year.  just to help me gain weight though. im pretty skinny. thats because of genetics though, not cos of my diet.
