Anyone who has a Mongoose Maneuver 26" Men's Full-Suspension Mountain Bike?

Strangely enough, the Mongoose Maneuver started as a full rigid all terrain bike- that means no suspension- in about 1999.

Since then Mongoose has rightly seen the increased interest in full suspension bikes at the low end of things and has updated the Maneuver to what is seen now.

Unfortunately, over 8 years the bike has remained almost the same price. Whenever they added something (like the full suspension) they had to take something else away (like better quality parts). This means that the quality of every part of the bike had to go down resulting in a heavy, unreliable bike intended for the occasional ride around the neighborhood. No trails, no jumps, no nothing except casual onroad riding.

It is NOT a mountain bike. It is a mountain STYLE bike.

If I were looking at a bike this price range, I would forget all the bells and whistles and take that same money to a bike shop. They'll set you up with something that'll be much more reliable.

Remember- suspension on a bike is not for comfort- it is to keep the wheels planted on the ground for better handling.
