I have a few questions. If you can't answer them all, you can always answer the ones you know. =)

1) What is the recipe that worked out the best for you? The least?

2) Do you recommend the recipe that uses beeswax, sweet almond oil, and vitamin E capsules?

3) What is the shelf life (for any recipes you recommend/don't recommend)?

Thank you sooo much for anyone who answers! I appreciate your time so much!

  1. I have used vaseline with berry extraction. I picked the berries from my grandma's farm and juiced them into the vaseline. Shelf life ain't that great, but good for a couple days.

  2. vaseline and eyeshadow. thats it. it lasts as long as vaseline.

  3. ...put a slice of lip stick on the smallest teacup you can find, add some petroleum jelly and microwave it for 4 mins. on high, stir it a little then microwave it again for 2 more mins...transfer into a small tin..then shelf life? i don't know? depending on how old the petroleum jelly is, and darken or lighten the tint by increasing or decreasing the lipstick.

  4. Materials

Vegetable shortening, honey, unsweetened drink mix (eg. Kool-Aid), hot water

Use a small bowl to mix 1 tbsp of the solid vegetable shortening and 1 tsp of honey.  In a separate bowl, mix the drink mix and 1/4 tsp of hot water until it is dissolved.  Stir in as much of the drink mix as possible. The actual amount will depend on the temperature of water. The more you can dissolve, the stronger the flavour will be.

You can choose the color and flavor of you lip gloss by the type of drink mix you use.

Add one drop of the water mixture to the shortening/honey base.  Stir well.  Repeat until you get the color/flavor combination you want.  Pour into a clean container or old lip gloss pot.

Store in the refrigerator.  Keeps for 3 days, but it tastes so good that you will use it up very fast!

  5. Just use Vaseline.......or Vitamin E capsules which are really better for your tissues.

  6. I recommend the beeswax recipe. It's shelf life is maybe 6 months.

    Have fun! Answer mine!
