  2. You'll be slicing deli meat and cheese for customers. Then depending on the store you'll prepare sandwiches to put into the "to go" case. Some deli's also have a hot case where customers come to get chicken and various vegetables for lunch so you'll serve customers and prepare that food. You may be asked to decorate cakes, or at least take the orders for them, and you'll also go through all the prepared breads, cakes and pies to throw out those that have expired. It's a simple job, but you have clean a lot, and make sure that you do everything else cleanly so you don't get others sick.
