Anyone who has just learned how to swim pls?

ok i got curious. since i dont remember this.... maybe someone who has just begun learning how to swim, can you tell me if it is easy to begin learning how to swim when you have never learned how before?

i know how to swim, and i dont remember how i learned, and i would like to know if it is difficult. just got curious!

My kids are learning how to swim, and comfort level makes all the difference in how easy it is to learn.

My daughter has never had any problems with putting her face in the water, or getting her face wet.  She's 6 and a fish.

My son hated getting his face wet, and he has just (in the last month or so) been able to put his face in the water without a mask.  He's not as good as his sister, and he is 8.

They have been taking lessons for over 3 years now.

My 3 year old just started lessons, but he has been swimming in our hot tub, and at hotel pools, for 2 years.  He's a fearless fish and scares the c**p out of everyone because he just jumps in.  Unfortunately, he can't swim yet ...  lol.
