Anyone who has visited, please tell me difference between Ritz Carlton and JW MArriott in Cancun.?

I am trying to decide where to stay in May and can't decide between the Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott in Cancun. Anyone who has been to both, please tell me the differences between the two as far as quality and location. Thanks!

In either instance, you can't go wrong. I have not stayed at either, however I have visited both resorts several times. What I can say is that they are both considered extremely high end, and for good reason. I think on a scale of stuffy-ness, people consider the Ritz Carlton to be a bit ahead in that category. Both resorts offer wonderful culinary experiences, and location is a trade off. Both resorts have wonderful restaurants across the Blvd from one another as well. I think if the prices are similar, I would choose the Ritz Carlton just because it's the Ritz Carlton, and it tends to be a higher priced resort.
