Ireland in general is quite expensive, but there are ways to live cheaply, not eating out in restaurants, and instead buying food in tesco, lidl, or aldi.

as regards bar work, its easy enough to gain a job in a bar as long as u have experience an a good comand of english. Over here, bars are very much social places where ppl will come in and spend the day talking to the bar men/women, so being chatty and easy to talk to is a plus also.
