Anyone who is good at writing and has read the scarlet letter please read this?

Well im supposed to write an essay on whether or not the scarlet letter is puritanical or romantic.

well..heres the assignment exactly..

Agree or sisagree with hawthornes assertion that his novel reflects romantic ideals or puritanical.you will be assessed on your ability to write persuasive discourse as characterized by clear and relevant assertions, implicit and explicit textual evidence, as presented in a logical and effective structure. furthermore, the writing must exhibit sophisticated phrasing and elevated word choice.

ok so i wrote the intro..but i dont think it meets thosee^^^ standards..can someone send me their myspace..email..aim name or something and read it for me and help me out a little..

I have not read this novel, but have a look at these study guides.  They should give you some ideas about your question and help you with your work with this novel.  Also do a search for the novel title here on Yahoo Answers and you will find that many other questions have been asked about it, and those questions and answers should be of help to you.

please just post it here. i can help u on it tho

basically the essay just asks you to state whether it is romantic or puritanical, then argue your point with examples from the book. your essay has to be written in a "logical structure", so all you have to worry about is that it flows well and doesnt jump around to much or make random statements. finally, dont start all sentences the same way, use "fancy" words, and have good grammar.

"those" standards which you think you havent met are really just souped up ways to say "write an essay with examples from the book and dont write like a first grader". whoever wrote the essay prompt made it sound like torture but its really not too bad!

ok, i understand...just try to make sure your essay and intro state your position clearly. use examples from the book, and find three ways your position is supported to use as your three body paragraphs. also, make sure sentences start differently..sorry i cant help more!

Oh, wow. I can give you my opinion if it will help,  that Hawthorne's book reflects a clash between romantic and Puritan values.

If you can get to a bookstore, find a copy of Cliff's Notes for The Scarlet Letter. Cliff's Notes are cheap, and they will give a good breakdown of the major elements of the novel.
