Anyone who is in a tutoring job?

I was wondering how you could get a tutoring job. I prefer K-6. I heard about programs like Aspire, Gear Up and other after school program.Any suggestions as to where I should look. I am from Whittier so I prefer to tutor around the area.

look on craigslist there are always lots of tutor companies advertising. Check the orange county and LA county with a subsearch on the Long Beach area or your zip code.

When I was in CA I worked with The Buddy System. http://www.buddysystem.com/. They are contacted by parents who want in-home tutoring for their kids. It was convenient, but the pay not too high - $20-$25/hr.

You could also contact local elementary schools, not forgeting private schools, with your credentials. Good luck!
