Anyone who likes math??

Question

-2m + 4n (to the second power) for m= -6 and n= -5

...I know I can do it but I'm under stress right now. I thought i had the answer right but my answer key says that the answer is 112....Sometimes the answer key is wrong though.........do you know what i did wrong? these are the steps I did:

-2 x -6 = 12

-5 (to the second power) = -25

4 x -25 = -100

12 + -100 = -88

?????

-5 to the second power does not equal -25 it equals 25 theres your mistake so the answer is 112 not -88 the key is right

-2m + 4n^2 for m= -6 and n= -5

-2(-6) +4(-5)^2

12+4(25)

12+100

=112

the answer key is right...
