I took my "road test" about a week ago (passed) but I would like to know if i had to weave around cones? the examiner told me to weave around cones, ofcourse I couldn't, the d**n task seemed nearly impossible!!! I called some of my family members and asked them if they had to ever do that!?!? They were SURPRISED!!!! None of them had to do that! so for anyone who lives here in Georgia, if you could tell me about your experience/thoughts or really anyone, I would appreciate!!!!!!!!

  1. Yes I grew up in GA< and for the test I had to weave around the cones, and I passed it, its not impossible. Appearently you need more practice in driving.   All you have to do is worry about your front going through the cones, don't worry about the back of the car.

When I first went to get my licence, I had to do a renewel, because i was out of contry and retook the test again, the second time I only had to paralle park.

  2. I just called my friend that works at the Georgia dmv and they do ask you to preform this weaving maneuver.

They do this to improve your driving skills, so you will need more practice.

  3. It would be very interesting to know what office has this weave maneuver on their road test...It is not part of the testing criteria...The basic skills portion (off-road) consists of a quick stop, straight line backing, turn about (3- pt turn) and parallel parking...I would call the Customer Service hotline at 877-835-5337 and let them know the details.

Now if this was for a motorcycle, you have the weave or swerve as part of vehicle handling.

  4. Never had to weave, just parallel park between cones set up like parkimg space. I asked a few of the college kids that work for me, they never had to either . They are all from GA
