i live in the uk and found a funny spider walking accross my hall, it was about 1/2 inch and had a very plump body.

only the body had what looked like thick strands almost looking like cotton wool all over, kinda charcoal colour with what looked like orangeish round bits on the end.

i put it out side on a bit of paper but most spiders scurry this one was not bothered and rubbed it's legs on these fibres.

i have never ever seen anything like it before and wish i'd put it in a jar - any ideas. i have looked on the pictures but do not seem to be able to find it. uk

  10. In CASE you see more of these, this is a pregnant spider as you describe it. We see them a lot in airports, and old aircraft.

No need to be concerned, unless you are seeing more than 2 or 3 of these. If so, call an exterminator, as that would mean they have found a nesting place to rest until they are ready to hatch the eggs.

Lastly, spiders like sweet things, so cover up any white wine, in CASE you are a wine drinker, or anything else in your kitchen with sugar in it,

    Chin Chin.
