  1. The 250 SX-F is only a 4 speed? That doesn't sound right. I have owned a couple 2 stroke KTM's and have a 85 right now that I bought for my nephew to ride. KTM's have always had killer engines and still do. Their suspension is very different though. Not better or worse necessarily. They do not use a linkage on the rear suspension like the big 4 does. This makes it great in the woods getting traction over roots and ruts. It does very well in the woods altogether. On a motocross track it tends to be a little busy and tends to over react to braking bumps and the like. I am still riding MX but plan to switch to woods in the next season most likely. I will definitely trade my Honda for a KTM at that point, no questions asked. Obviously since you are looking at the SX model you intend to ride MX. It is not the best of the bunch for that but is still a great ride once you adapt to the suspension.

  2. Everyone i know has upgraded the suspension on theirs and i rode one for a couple days and KTM's really surprised me they have alot of power the only down fall is the parts cost more to replace than Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki

  3. I would personally go with a HONDA...

  4. The KTM's usually come with better standard suspension compared with Honda, KX's and Yamaha's, But most people I know still upgrade it anyway.  Those  who have them state that the parts cost more and where we are the KTM usually stands for Kosts Too Much.  The only real negative I have heard from the guys who race them other than the cost of parts is that a couple of them had trouble with the throttle sticking and it didnt seem to matter what they did to fix it it would still do it.  Maybe it was just a problem with those particular bikes or maybe a design fault.  I don't really know.

  5. I would go with a JR50 or PW50. Training wheels can be added to either one. Like dude get a bike. Like dude just ride. Like dude just buy something dude. Like dude just dude.
