  1. Schraube dieser Arbeit

    yup.

    thats it.

    i know some german.

and my fave band is german, so i know this stuff.

  2. sorry, i don't speak german

  3. In what context does she use it? I don't think it has anything to do with actual s***w like bolt.

But I would rather translate it as "Vergiss diese Arbeit!" (Forget about this work) because 'schrauben' would be in the mechanical sense but that makes absolutly now sense

  4. diese Arbeit schrauben

  5. That's tricky because you're dealing with a slang phrase, and you can't translate those phrases directly.

All of the answers you got with Schraub(e)(n) have to do with hardware, and unless you are attaching two things with screws, are completely wrong.

What a real German kid would write wouldn't be appropriate for a school chalkboard, even as a joke. I'm assuming that you attend an American school, and you know how (über)sensitive we are to "the S-word" and "the F-word."  Even if you and your teacher have a great relationship, she can't allow you to write "S... on this work" or "F... this work" on the board!

I'm going to suggest "Zum Teufel mit dieser Arbeit!", which literally means "To the devil with this work!"  It seems to be a good compromise, and one that a German teacher might say.

    Happy first day of school!

  6. Ha ha it's "Schrauben Sie diese Arbeit!" That would be soo funny!

  7. You'd want to write something like: Schrauben Sie diese Arbeit! I asked my partner for you!
