  1. It depends on how long you want to stay in, and the wind. If its really windy, the wind is just going to cut right through your wetsuit, and even a 4/3 would be freezing. I've been surfing Asbury Park lately, and If I only have a couple hours to surf, then I use a 3/2, 5/4 split toe boots, and sometimes w/out gloves. But even that gets a little cold, so otherwise I use a 4/3 and thats pretty good, for now. I'd say, maybe in about 3-4 weeks you should be okay with a 3/2 fullsuit, but it also depends on how long you want to stay out and the wind.

  2. I surf at belmar, I run a 4/3 3mm boots and just picked up a new pair of 5mm gloves for free when I got my 5'10" retro fish yesterday. You should be able to go just 3/2 mid-ish june. At the moment the water is pretty cold, 52 degrees. I mean you could still go just a 3/2 which is what one of my friend does, but he cant stay in for too long. The 3/2 is fine for the water now, but you should pick up a pair of 3mm boots and 3mm gloves and you can hop in now and not freeze.
