i just started temping this cycle. i am on CD28 today, period due tomorrow. i could have swore at 9dpo i was pregnant, but then on 11dpo and 12dpo i had some serious af cramps. i have been having tons of creamy cm, to the point where i run to the potty cuz i think af has started. now the last 2 days..13-14dpo i have had no cramps or bloating or anything to indicate my period coming..my temps were going up constitantly other than 10dpo i had a small dip from 98.8 to 98.2. this morning i forgot to take it untill after i was up for a minute or two and it was 99.1..was wondering what your temp does before af, or if you are indeed pregnant. new at the temping thing and its kinda confusing. i would appreciate whatever you can share. thanks!

  1. Well it varies from person to person, but in my experience with AF, my temps stay up from ovulation until a day or so before my next period.

My understanding if you're preggers is that it will rise as usual from ovulation then stay high way past the day you are due to get your period. Some people notice dips between 7-10dpo which could be implantation although I've had dips at these times and still AF.

  2. When I'm pregnant, my temp rises as usual after ovulation and then at some point-usually between days 9-11-my temp will rise more.

When I'm not pregnant, my temp will rise as usual after ovulation and then hit its peak around days 9-11 and then slowly go back down. The day my period's due, it will spike downward and I'll get it.

I hope this helps.  Good luck!

  3. OK the day before AF is supposed to come your temp will drop. If you are pregnant it will remain up. If AF doesn't come tomorrow take a test. They say do it in the morning, but I took mine the day after AF was supposed to come and it was 4 in the afternoon and still got my positive. It will be faint b/c you are early in the pregnancy. About 4 1/2 wks. If by chance you aren't pregnant, and want to keep temping this is a good website in case you wake up alittle early or later than when you normally test. GL and lots of baby dust!!
