Hi

I'm not sure whether to take 5 as-levels

Is it worth it? How much work is it?

I was thinking of taking French, Art, English lit. and Maths, but I'm not sure whether to take psychology too.

Will it be too much work, especially with art and essay-based subjects?

Also anyone who has taken these courses how did you find them?

thanks!

  1. i an starting a2 in September and have just done my as, but i dont think you should take 5 and if you do you will probs end up dropping one because you will be very surprised how much harder the course's are this year compered to at gcse's. honestly it might be okay at first but when you hear you have 5 coursework deadlines in for a weeks time you will seriously regret taking 5

plus they will not really make much difference as they are not worth much Ucast points

oh and i have a friend that took 5 and she got 4 E's and a D which she says is a pass but not very high because she had too much to do

  2. If you have the time then you should take 5 A Levels.

It doesnt make no difference really though cause when you start A2, you only have to take 3 of those4/5 subjects you take cause Uni's only want 3 of your results.

But if you do more then you have an extra result which could help you get into uni if you failed one of the others or summin.

Art does take alot of your time and the subjects you have already chosen are already time consuming.

I wouldnt recommend it but if you have the time then why not.

You could always drop the subject if you dont wanna take it no more

  3. It'll be a lot of hard work and you'll have to spend a lot of time at college and revising (probably more so than anyone else) but if you put the effort in and do all of the work then you should be fine. You can always drop a subject at A2 if you don't like it.

The only one I took out of the subjects you listed was English Literature. Parts of it were hard but others weren't, I enjoyed it though.

  4. I speak a little the english and I were always bad... I'd like to speak in english with a person of the other country. I think that it very more easy. You will be agree to speak with me ? You speak in french and I speak in english. You corrige next.

    .................

For answer : I think that take psychology is very hard. I don't know for these courses.
