  1. Speak to the inland revenue. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/

  2. Was your code number restricted by your Jobseekers estimated amount? If so, and that was excessive, send form P60 to tax office, and ask staff to review for refund. It would help if you have Jobseekers form P45U/1a to send with your claim, so that exact amount is known.

Can't give you an estimate of refund without knowing figures involved.

  3. kev is correct, except that you don't need to complete a tax return to get a refund. Either ring HMRC or call in at your local tax enquiry centre.

  4. No one can answer that unless you disclose your tax code, all of your taxable earnings and a breakdown of the taxes that you have paid.

You'll probably get nothing back if you were issued a P45 which you gave to your new employer.

Go to the hmrc website and fill in a tax return.
