I'm going to be turning 17 in Dec. and I was wondering whether I should plan on applying for Hollister. I just want a weekend job so I can focus on school and clubs etc. so did you like working there? I thought about it and one thing that seems really irritating is the SUPER loud music. It isn't so bad for 5 minutes but after 4 hours I would probably want to shoot myself. I also heard they don't treat employers properly, is this true? Is it hard or easy? Do you get paid minimum or over? Any input on your work experience would be helpful. Also, if you have had a better experience working somewhere else for a 17 year old, please provide the store name. Or if you have any place in mind that is much better. Do you have to be 18 to work at Nordstrom?

  1. I just started working there and it's pretty easy.  The music does get annoying sometimes cause you're always saying "WHAT?!" to people haha.  If you work there, you get payed minimum.  But a plus to working there is that you can make your schedule anyway you want it, there isn't a set number of hours you have to work.

I've only worked at one other place and that was at a grocery store.  They hire anyone and it was pretty awful.  Customers at Hollister pretty much want to shop and don't bother you unless they want a different size or something.

You should give it a shot.  It's fun sometimes and you get discounts :)

  2. no... my friend worked there and loved it cuz she got alot of attention but the people were rude to her apparently.:(
