Anyone who works at a casino?

okay so i start working at a casino for one week, at the orientation it says that pay days are every other mondays right...i started one week and that monday wasnt pay day..but this coming monday is pay day.. but since just started am i going to get paid this week or have to wait for two week till i get paid?

doesn't matter if it is a casino or an office...ask your payroll department or your boss...There is a chance you would get paid, but sometimes they are one week behind...well one way or the other you will find out on Monday ;)

Regardless of what kind of company you work for, the pay period is one thing, the payday is another.  

The pay period is the two-week period for which you get paid.  It can be from Monday morning to the Sunday night 14 days later, or it can start on any other day of the week and last for 14 days.  

Your employer will take a few days, maybe a week, to process hours worked and prepare paychecks to be distributed on payday.  

So on payday you will get paid for the pay period that just ended.  By the time you get paid you have probably already accrued a few more days' pay that will appear on your next paycheck.  

Check with your employer about when the pay period ends.
