    2    9 hours (induced)

    3   12 hours

    4   18 hours

    5   12 hours (induced)

all full term   (baby #2 was 10 days late)

  2. Mine were all natural.  I went early with all of them.  My labors were 19, 15, 11, and 33 hours long.  My last labor was the longest.

  3. I am mom to 4.  All 4 were born past their due dates by 9 days, 11 days, 5 days, and 7 days.  With my first, I am not exactly sure when I began labor as I went to my doctor with a severe pain in my side.  She checked me and said I was dilating so go home and wait for contractions to begin then go to the hospital when they got to 5 minutes apart.  This was about 10 AM and my daughter was born that same evening at 8:50 PM.  All 4 of my deliveries were vaginal with no pain medication, only a local anesthetic with the first 3 when I needed an episiotomy.  With my second baby, I lost my mucous plug and began irregular contractions about 7 AM, but he wasn't born until the next morning at 6:44 AM, so about 24 hours with him.  He was in a posterior position and required a forceps delivery.  With my 3rd, I woke up from a sound sleep at 2:45 AM, rolled out of bed to go pee and my water broke.  She was in a posterior position as well and required a forceps delivery, but she came at 7:18 AM so only about 4 1/2 hours with her.  My youngest, I was 38 and had Gestational Diabetes.  At 41 weeks there was no sign of impending labor so they gave me a prostoglandin gel insertion to see if my cervix would at least begin to soften and thin.  Instead I had a bad reaction to it and began having 6 minute contractions which sent my baby into distress.  I had the gel about noon and delivered my baby at 7:29 PM.  I went from no signs of labor to having a baby in about 7 1/2 hours.  No pain meds with her either.  It went quick and was intense.  My oldest is a mom now and her son, my grandson, was intended to be born vaginally with no pain meds, but sometimes things just don't work out that way.  Her water broke at home and she ended up with hours of stalled labor.  They tried an epidural to help her rest and relax then resorted to pitocin, several doses.  26 hours after her water broke they had to do an unplanned C-section because she wouldn't dilate past 8 cm, she developed a fever, the baby's heart rate wouldn't stay regular plus he was turned oddly in the birth canal.

  4. Well, I'm not a mother...but my mom had 3 daughters. (Me and my two Sisters)

Me (Oldest): My mom was in labor for about 18 hours with me

...She was in Labor with my other two sisters, for, 6 and 14 hours.

    They were all Natural. =)
