Anyone with any anxiety experience?

I have started taking lorazepam (Klonopin) for anxiety, and wile it makes me sleepy at night, it still doesn't stop my heart from racing and my mind from keeping me up even though I desperately want to sleep. What usually happens after a drug such as this is ineffective, because my doc told me this was a quick acting treatment, so I shouldn't still be having these attacks, right? What happens after this? Anyone with an experience like mine would be much appreciated. Thank you.

  1. I TAKE LORAZAPAM ALSO FOR ANXIETY,AND IT WORKED FOR ME IN THE BEGINNING...IT WOULD MAKE ME FALL ASLEEP EASILY, BUT MY DOCTOR WARNED ME IT CAN BE ADDICTIVE. I'VE BEEN ON IT FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND I CAN TAKE IT AT 6 O'CLOCK AT NIGHT AND NOT FALL ASLEEP UNTILL MIDNIGHT, SO I FIGURED IT WASNT WORKING FOR ME ANYMORE, SO I DECIDED TO STOP TAKING IT,AND WHEN I DID I COULDNT SLEEP AT ALL! ISNT THAT MESSED UP? IT DOESNT PUT ME TO SLEEP ANYMORE, BUT IF I DONT TAKE IT I CANT SLEEP!

  2. I take that drug for panic attacks and anxiety.  It does work for me.  I also see a counselor though to talk about things that make me anxious or cause me to worry.  Not sure what I can do to help you, but talk with your doctor about this.  Do you suffer from depression?  Maybe another medication would be better.  I would talk with the person who prescribed this and ask for a second opinon or other options....good luck and peace to you....you'll get there....

  3. it probably is eathier not the drug for you or not the right dose. I take Zanax for anxiety it makes me sleep. Ask your doctor.
