  1. I live in montana, and travel to great falls almost every few weeks. Its such a great place, GREAT for raising kids, you just have to pick the right neigboorhoods and schools. I would seriously never ever move out of the state. No sales tax, no hurricanes, tornados etc. Theres a super low crime rate, and you always feel really safe here. The weather is great it gets pretty hot in the summer, but it doesn't rain very much. Winters can get bitter cold, all last week it was below zero, but today its like 45. It snowed once in early December, and that melted off and it didn't snow again till a few weeks ago. The thing about snow here is that it like snows, and then just blows away. Were lucky if we have a good covering of snow all over for even a week. Most if the ski resorts end up having to make a lot of their own snow. Great falls isnt very mountainous, its mostly rolling hills around it. But if you head south or west there are many beutiful mountain ranges within an hour. Great falls has an awesome childrens museum, water park, and a really nice downtown. Its the perfect sized town, theres no major traffic problems, and its easy to find your way around. Also some good places to eat are Penny's Gourmet To Go, and Rikkis Pizza and Pasta.

  2. I've visited it several times, but never have lived there.  (I have friends that live there!)

They seem to like it very much.  If you'll like it may depend on where you are coming from and what you like.  It is sure not like Calif.  It is beautiful, but it also can be cold and snowy.  I've attached a couple of sites for you to visit and look around.
