I applied at a coffee shop and they want me to come in tomorrow for training.

I just need a few extra hours of work a week and I'm looking for an easy job. It's in a rural area and every time i go there its pretty empty so it seems pretty laid back

Is it hard to remember or learn to make all those drinks? I dont want to waste their time training me if it's difficult because like a said... im looking for an EASY job.

thanks!

  1. Its VERY easy.  and they usually have cards or cheat sheets for you to use while you learn.

  2. Depends on how they make their drinks.

I've worked in places that have both manual and automatic espresso machines. Obviously, the auto machines are easy and the manual ones are more time consuming but once you get the hang of using them it's really not that much harder.

That's really the only part of the job where you need any kind of skill. Other than that, the job will probably consist of working the till, stocking supplies and bussing/cleaning up.

As previously stated, most coffee places have cheat sheets that show you exactly how to make each drink, but after one shift of working you'll have all of the basic drinks memorized. Good luck!

  3. I don't know of anyone who does.

  4. It's very easy.  Everything is pretty much built around the same basic few drinks, just with various flavoring ingredients added.
