Anyone worked in Saudi Arabia?

I have a job offer with Al Alasam Aircraft Company in Riyadh and was wondering what it was like in Saudi. ie schools, safety, recreation, and shopping. Also has anyone lived in the Jadawel Compound??

I lived in Saudi Arabia for 13 years. My dad worked there. We didn't live in a compound.

Life in compound is very dull and you will feel very isolated and confined to a small area.

Over all, the country is very racist, narrow minded, and boring.

In terms of safety: Outstanding

Shopping: Excellent

Recreation: Sure if you are into family outings.

Schools: Oh please, poor countries like Pakistan do better.
