Anyone worked with McDonald's or the likes?

How could they manage the stocks? For example,

If I work there and try to steal fried chicken to eat

or the utensils to use at home..

How fast will they know the things is stolen?

How can they check?

How can they find the theif?

I'm interest to own a restaurant and I've to learn

a lot of things.

  1. You should go work in one for 6 months o a year. McDonalds is the gold standard of efficiency. You'll learn a lot.  


  2. There is a little thing called inventory that takes place on a weekly basis.  They have checklists for food delivered, food gone to waste bin, and sales report for what went out.  You would notice something within a week or so.  Utensils are needed so people notice when they go missing.

    To find the thief may be harder unless you have cameras set up all around your store.

  3. I worked for McDonalds for one six hour shift when I was a teenager.

    I remember the last thing the manager told me on that day as I was leaving:  "Tomorrow we'll show you how to make the fish sandwich!"

    uhhhh, no thanks dude, cya!  That was the end of food service jobs for me!
