Anything antidotal to caffeine?

Apart from drugs, something natural that will either take caffeine out of my body or cancel out the lasting stimulant effect

  1. L-Theanine does this.  It is an amino acid found in green tea.  It counteracts the caffiene content in the tea.  That's why a cup of green tea is relaxing.  FYI...The green tea supplements you see advertised for weight loss have the theanine removed, and they add more caffeine to stimulate metabolism.  You can buy L-theanine as a supplemnet most everywhere.  It's in the calming, anti-anxiety category.


  2. homepathically, you could try coffea cruda.

  3. Time. Caffeine lasts about 8 hours or so - two days with no caffeine and you should be clean of it.

  5. If you are just looking for something to lessen the stimulant effect that I would reccomend consuming things with lots of triptofan like turkey, red wine, or fish.
