Anything good/bad to say about Vonage phone service?

Thinking about maybe making a switch, just hoping to know if anyone's been happy or not with this service...

Tried Vonage, thought it was terrible. Always good to have a good old LANDLINE.....Hard wired, works even in power failures.!! (Cordless phones will not.!!)

vonage is good if have a good stable internet connection . there are a lot of better services also avilable . the equip that they give is locked so you can not change your service and they want a 12 mo contract so checkit out

Well I don't know anything about Vonage as a supplier, but I do know of an excellent service provider. I am assuming you are in the US and the only web site I can give you for this service is UK based however if you follow my instructions you can get through to the US section.

Go to www.iolair.acnrep.com then on the opening page click on the SELECT YOUR COUNTRY button, then click on the US flag and finally on products there you will find details of the service, if you get lost email me and I will go over it again with you.

yes, you can port over your number, but be aware....you might not get it back, in case you cancel the service!

No VoiP provider has to port the number back, its not the law yet!! also you need cable or DSL service, if you need a landline, get a dry(naked) DSL line....!

First do some research....like go to www.broadband.com... most Americans need everything spoon-feed, but is you like a challenge then go for it!!! just keep in mind the cancellation fees, and the giving away your good landline number!! I use VoIP for over 5 years now, and I have been very happy....!

I use a DECT.60 VoIP phone with build-in router and firewall....just plug-it in and make calls, nothing to set up!! you will find that ppl just love there service or hate it!!

just got another -10 points violation from yahoo for solicitation!!

and I just try to help ppl on here!! one more and I'm outta her!!
