2. idk

  3. Ripping it off will hurt more!!

Just cut it off and file it down if its oddly shape.. and then put a band aid on it or use some polysporin..

but please please please.. dont rip it off!! ouch!

  4. This happened to me before. I slammed my finger into a car door and ripped off half of a figernail and it was still attached, with some connected to the pink nail bed underneath, which was exposed also.

I sterilized a nail clipper and carefully clipped away the "ripped" part of the nail as much as I could so there was nothing left to get snagged by anything. There was still a little ripped part there so I filed it down very carefully. Afterwards I put some neosporin and a band-aid. Took a few weeks for my nail to heal and grow back.

I also made sure to change the band aid for a new one every day or so, and sometimes I would leave it off for a few hours and then apply neosporin again before putting band aid back on.
