  1. ha ha ha, nooooo. nice try. Kelly Slater became great by sitting at the beach in Florida all day trying to figure out what the best spot/time/conditions were good. You need to put in some work and understand weather conditions, or just waste a lot of gas driving around hoping for surf.

  2. Not that I know of. But if I find it, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to share. There was a great longboard spot (not as good as that one, but some REAL LONG smooooth rides) in Cape May County NJ, but the beach replenishment gremlins came in, and they have altered the break forever. In case it comes back, I'm sorry, but I'm keeping that one secret too.

  3. Pensacola/Destin FLA (Panhandle) can get some long slow breaking waves but real inconsistent.  They can get swells that only last an hour.

With the possible exception of Connecticut every state on the east coast gets waves finding them is part of the fun. Looking at nautical charts, going to local surf shops, talking to visiting surfers about their home breaks ...  But to answer your question, yes there are spots on the east coast where you get long smooth rides most all year round.

  4. i dont know about any on the east coast but i do know about one in souther california called SWAMIS

  5. I agree that is a cool video!

I live in Jupiter, Florida, and normally in the summertime, the waves here are a lot smaller (2-4 ft, on average)

up North, in Daytona, FL, the waves are supposed to be nicer (3-7 ft on average during summer)

in winter, the waves can average from 4-10 ft in my area

  6. On the East Coast?  Consistency is not our strong point, of course neither is wave quality.
