Valery Reinhold has admitted that both the Russian Premier League clubs impressed while playing in the UEFA Europa League against Udinese and Inter Milan
Russian Premier League clubs, Anzhi Makhachkala and Rubin Kazan, claimed a well deserved point in the UEFA Europa League group stage game after drawing their first European games against Udinese and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan respectively.
Anzhi have been drawn against Young Boys, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC and Udinese while Rubin will play the group stage matches against the Milan-based club, Partizan and Neftchi Baku.
The Makhachkala-based club secured European qualification for the first time in their history after finishing 5th last season, while the Kazan-based club qualified for the European berth after winning the Russian Cup
last season.
Anzhi conceded an injury time equalizer to settle for a point in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 while the Tatary twice threw away their lead to make the final score 2-2 at San Siro.
Valery Reinhold has insisted that both the Russian outfits played quality football despite playing the corresponding European fixtures on the away turf.
The former Spartak Moscow attacker hailed Anzhi and Rubin, saying that the aforementioned teams have the potential to reach the later stages in the continental tournament this time around.
“Overall, Anzhi and Rubin played a decent European game. They both played high speed football against top and experienced European sides in an intensive mode. Well, both teams missed the victory but I think that the final result
does not always necessarily depict what happened on the field.”
“Many Russian players got their international experience against top teams. Udinese plays in the European competition almost every year and I don’t think I have to explain about the Nerazzurri.” The 70-year-old was quoted as saying.
Reinhold went on to admit that Inter have changed after Jose Mourinho’s departure. The Italian tactician helped the Serie A giants in winning the Champions League during his stay at San Siro.
The Russian national went on to hail Kurban Berdyev, known for winning against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Barcelona-c39078 at Camp Nou, telling that the Russian Cup winner used his past European experience to claim a draw on the away turf.
