Vladislav Radimov has summed up Zenit St. Petersburg’s performances in the Russian Premier League until the winter break and has lavished praise on Danny Miguel
Zenit St. Petersburg assistant manager, Vladislav Radimov, has insisted that Anzhi Makhachkala will fight for the Russian Premier League title this season along with the St. Petersburg club.
The mega rich Dagestani club have been pressing for their first league title ever since the inception of the Russian top division. However, they took a forward step in their quest after appointing Guus Hiddink as their manager.
The Dagestani club shocked the world after signing Lacina Traore form Kuban Krasnodar this summer having previously signed Samuel Eto’o from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan last January.
Lassana Diarra has been another notable addition to their squad, whom they signed from Real Madrid this summer.
Radimov admitted that the Makhachkala-based club have decent squad that can help them in challenging for silverware in the near future.
However, he believes that Zenit completed fantastic business by signing players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186
and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SL-Benfica-c40542 respectively.
“Anzhi are a very good team without any doubt. They have made marquee signing such as Eto'o and Traore. It’s good to see player like Diarra, who is one of the best midfielders in the championship of Russia, along with Witsel and
Shirokov.”
“And given Anzhi’s financial resources they are in the race to win the league title this season.” The former FC Krylia Sovetov Samara man was quoted as saying.
Radimov went on to shower praise on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Miguel, saying that the Portuguese attacking midfielder is one of the best players in their respective league and the 29-year-old has all the ingredients to play for a bigger club like
Manchester United.
Danny, for whom the St. Petersburg club paid a massive record breaking 30 million Euros fee to Dynamo Moscow at that time, remained on the sidelines around 11 months after damaging his knee last November.
However, the former Sporting Lisbon player marked his return in Zenit’s 2-1 win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192 at Petrovsky stadium last month.
