Anzhi Makhachkala were better during the first half against CSKA Moscow, admits Georgi Schennikov

The Dagestani club managed to terrorize the visiting team the entire first half after scoring a 4th minute goal. However, the visitors managed to score an equalizer despite creating few chances during the first half.
After equalizing, CSKA started to perform well and scored four more goals to take a resounding lead. Anzhi managed to trim the lead after scoring two late goals but it was too little too late.
Schennikov, who replaced Semyon Fedotov during the match, is of the opinion that the Moscow-based club need to work on their first half performances if they are to claim a decent spot on the Russian Premier League table.
Speaking on his substitution, he said: “An early substitution was unexpected but I had to go on the field after the manager decided a change.”
He added: “During the first half, we made defensive errors but managed to take the ball under control during the second half. We had expected heavy fight because Anzhi are known to play quality football at home.”
The Russian Super Cup winner revealed that Anzhi and Zenit have terrific strikers and gave example of the massive score line.

CSKA Moscow are currently at the second spot on the league table and trail Zenit St. Petersburg by two points.
The 20-year-old reiterated his desire to reclaim the Russian Premier League title under Leonid Slutsky and revealed that they are expecting Zenit to drop more points in the remaining league encounters.
