Anzhi Makhachkala’s Aleksandr Makarov speaks on team performance in the Russian Cup
Anzhi Makhachkala goalkeeper, Aleksandr Makarov, is delighted to have progressed to the next round of the Russian Cup by defeating Volga Ulyanovsk. and reveals team preparations in the Russian Premier League tier against Zenit St. Petersburg at Khazar stadium.

Anzhi would be hosting Zenit at Khazar stadium in their next league meeting and Makarov is confident that they outplay the defending champions by putting a prolific performance in front of their home crowd.
Anzhi are currently at the fifth spot of the league table, a place below Rubin Kazan owing to an inferior goal difference.
