Guus Hiddink laments the latest Russian Premier League draw against Spartak Moscow and urged Samuel Eto’o to work harder.
In the latest round of Russian Premier League action, the mega-rich Russian outfit, Anzhi Makhachkala, claimed a goalless draw against Spartak Moscow at Makhachkala stadium.
In the aftermath of the outcome, coach Guus Hiddink lamented the recent draw, revealing that Anzhi only have themselves to blame for putting up a poor home performance against the Moscow-based club.

Anzhi have now dropped down to the seventh spot on the league table. However, the ambitious Russian club, who started the third league round on a high by defeating Dynamo Moscow 1-0 on the away turf, are just three points adrift
of the last UEFA Champions League berth.
Hiddink went on to praise the Myaso, admitting that Spartak played quality football the entire 90 minutes.
“Spartak are well organized team but we can play better. They have got the European experience and they were good on the counter attack. We could have won the game had we taken our chances.” The former Real Madrid boss was quoted
as saying.
Speaking on the atmosphere at Makhachkala stadium, Hiddink revealed that he had watched the videos of the matches before joining the Russian outfit during the winter transfer window.
Hiddink went on to admit that Samuel Eto’o is a fantastic player. However, he denied the fact that Anzhi are dependent on a single player.
"I would like to add some stability to the entire team. I had pointed out some things after winning against Dynamo but they did not materialize. But for many things I am satisfied.
“Eto'o is capable of more. But do not focus on one player: The same can be said about all of our group attack.” Hiddink said.
Hiddink, meanwhile, blasted their critics by explaining that that they should think twice before criticising the Dagestani club as they played against a very strong opponent.
