The Russian Premier League club are likely to approach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan’s goal-scoring midfielder after their reported 250 million Euro bid for Messi was turned down
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, refused a chance to earn reportedly 30 million Euros annual salary at Anzhi Makhachkala after the mega-rich Dagestani club agreed to match the Argentine International’s massive 250 million Euro
buy-out clause.
Messi, who came through the academy ranks to become a first-team regular at the Spanish outfit and went on to make a world record of scoring most goals scored by any individual in one calendar year, has now extended his contract
at Camp Nou until 2018.
The Makhachkala-based club failed to get Messi signatures due to the fact that the Argentine refused to leave Barcelona in order to play in an unfamiliar territory i.e. the Russian championship.
Though the Spanish club have not yet confirmed who actually made the astonishing bid for their ultimate goal-scoring machine, according to the newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Anzhi agreed to pay over the odds.
Earlier it was reported that Barcelona received such a tempting offer from one of the top Russian clubs but the former Newell’s Old Boys attacker refused to leave the Catalan after penning down a three-year contract.
“During the negotiations between Barcelona and Messi, my son of extended his contract until 2018, although there was a very tempting offer Russia," Messi’s father told El Mundo Deportivo.
If speculations are to be believed, the mega-rich Dagestani club have now turned their attention on Inter Milan’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799, who has recently expressed a desire to leave San Siro.
The Dutch midfielder, who has scored 24 goals for his national team, does not want to extend his contract after falling out with the management, who are unwilling to increase his salary.
But Anzhi will have to battle it out with Zenit St. Petersburg for the player signatures as the defending Russian Premier League champions wants to temp Sneijder by offering him an extra ordinary salary package.
It is also reported that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are keeping tabs on the former Real Madrid man along with the St. Petersburg club.
