Anzhi Makhachkala head coach, Guus Hiddink, has credited the entire team as they secured the Bronze medal in the Russian Premier League and qualified for a place in the UEFA Europa League next season.
“I want to praise my team, which has performed very well in Europe. We were unfortunate to be eliminated by Newcastle, conceding a late goal. We are among the top three leading teams in the Russian league and reached the Cup final. I can only praise my players,”

The Makhachkala-based club managed to claim the Bronze medal after securing a third place on the league table following their 2-1 win against Lokomotiv Moscow at Anzhi-Arena on Monday.
Though the Dagestani club did not start the league fixture as expected as they conceded an early goal, they altered the situation and came from behind to stun Slaven Bilic’s men in their final home game.

The Russian outfit played the match after a pulsating 1-0 defeat against Terek Grozny last week. However, they managed to reclaim the third spot after their comeback win against the Moscow-based club at home.
“Now is not the best time to talk about it. We will sit down and talk about everything from management at the end of the season. I'm not young - my future will be discussed later. We have one game in the league and the Cup final,” he added.
Hiddink has been linked with a host of top European clubs since expressing a desire to leave his current club. However, the Dutch tactician remained coy over his future, saying that he will discuss it with the management at the end of the ongoing campaign.
The 66-year-old went on to urge his side to win the Russian Cup final against CSKA Moscow, telling them that a win in the cup tournament will help them grow their confidence against bigger clubs.
