Prost 105 Senna 94. Only a certain number of scores could count so after discarding of the required numbers Prost fell behind Senna.

  1. Cool, rosbif's on holiday so I have a chance to shine!

In 1964 Surtees won the title with 40pts to Graham Hill's 39, Hill had scored 41, but had to drop the 2 points he scored at Spa.

That is the only other occasion it happened.

  2. Don't think so. I remember there have been years though when another driver has won much more races but didn't win the championship like:

    Mansell in 1987 and 1986

    Prost in 1982 an 1983

    Moss in 1958

  3. Not since they stopped dropping races. Athough I believe that a couple of times, a driver lost the championship due to a penalty. Alonso and Hamilton last year ring a bell for some reason
