  1. anything carbon-based

  2. Sulphur dioxide from volcanic eruptions can destroy ozone also.

  3. There are non-anthropogenic causes of depletion - but these are (a) generally less effective; and (b) not something we can control.

For instance, there is evidence that supernovae and gamm ray bursts affect the ozone layer and lead to extinctions on Earth.

Ozone iis formed in the stratosphere and requires a balance of high energy photons to break up O2 and high(ish) density to catalyze the reaction O + O2. If there is a burst of high energy photons (from a supernova e.g.) it can destroy the ozone, but once the event has past the ozone will form again.

  4. The ozone hole is bigger over the Antarctic region than the Arctic region. This is due to the presence of the 'polar stratospheric clouds' over the Antarctica.More details follow.

The lower stratosphere over the south pole is the coldest spot on the earth. They are below  minus 80 degree(-80) celcius. Thus the increased  depletion of ozone layer over the Antarctic appears to be connected with this extremely low temperatures ,which lead to condensation of water and nitric acid to form polar stratospheric clouds. The ice crystals in these clouds are responsible for the ozone- decomposing chemical reactions (apart from CFCs)which increases the process of the ozone depletion. This mechanism is belived to be responsible for about 70 percent of the Antarctic ozone loss.

These polar stratospheric clouds are less common over the Arctic ,as  tempertures are several degrees higher in the stratosphere over the Arctic.
