Yes,the leaders of the EU knew their people would reject the Lisbon Treaty,so they just decided to go on ahead and ratify it themselves,without even asking the people.Politicans are there to represent the people,so why did all the prime ministers and presidents ratify the treaty when most of their citizens would have rejected it?



The only reason Ireland got a referendum is because it's required by the constitution,if it wasn't I'm more then sure Brian Cowen would've went ahead and ratified it without giving us a referendum.



I can't believe Sarkozy and Barroso are still urging countries to ratify the treaty.It's dead as a door nail,but they don't want to accept that.



Also the only other country that won't ratify the treaty and trying to tell the bureaucrats in Brussels that the treaty is dead is the Czech Republic.It's as if the other member states are afraid to speak out against Sarkozy and Barroso.Are Ireland and the Czech Republic the only countries left in the EU with their citizens interests at heart?

Yes and it will be in Ireland because they are going to ask the same question again and again until people get fed up. I can not understand the Irish having fought tooth and nail for freedom from the British they go and hand it over to the EU  

I notice tyhhat our mob of half baked wallies which pass as a government know full well what the answer will be if it is put to the vote in UK

I suspect it will be the same for all other EU Countries

Democracy is already dead in all countries honey, and it is already replaced by the word hypocrisy... but don't get confused is not "hippocratic", it is "hypocrite".

And EU has the biggest hypocrite and faked governments in the whole world.

So, democracy = hypocrisy.
