  1. fire doors blocked or wedged open

    asbestos

    unsafe electrical items

    unguarded machinery

    chemicals

    cleaning products

    violent customers

    uneven floors

    water leaks

    zombies

    poorly maintained fire alarms

    fire drills not done regularly

    offices being too hot or cold

    offices not being adequately ventilated

    unsuitable office chairs

    employees being drunk and/or intoxicated

    staff using equipment that they are not safety trained to operate

  2. also some health and safety issues are if chemicals for cleaning,etc.. are not used properly,or stored properly,messes left on floors,sick employees being pressured to work sick..............employees drunk or high at work,but at  my work the managers don't care-and it's a hassle to report it to health department,and almost all the employees(except me)  don't even wash their hands.!

  5. Heavy items stored up high so that people need to climb to reach them.  

    Fire exits blocked.

    Electrical equipment - must be PAT tested.

    Equipment not checked and serviced regularly.

    Water from the tap too hot (this is a problem at my work place) so can scald.

    Heavy Items not kept at waist level shelf.

    No Trolley to transport Heavy Goods

    No Sign in and Sign out book if there is no clocking system in place.

  7. Oh Boy!  99,997 things!

    My brother in law has a small commercial decorating company. Recently he was working in an office block being re-furbished. They were painting ceilings in an empty office and the H&S man insisted that as they were on site, they wear hard hats! Ever tried painting a ceiling 18" above your head with a hard hat on?  

    If you really want to see the nearest thing to a reincarnation of Hitler or Stalin, just meet your local friendly H&S officer.

  8. 1. Fumes from photocopiers (ozone if I remember correctly)

    2. Loose floor tiles or wet tiles. Uneven floor

    3. Poor lighting

    4. Lack of training, if any of the boxes are heavy and you need to move them

    5. Repetitive stress from PC etc
