I wouldn't call Lendl's racquet the best ever, but I would say that the very first square-head Yonex racquet that Martina Navratilova used, back in the late 1980's, was pretty good.

Well, first I totally agree that Lendl's racket is by the far the best ever.  I have 5 of them and still get stares when I break them out of the bag.  

Anyway, if had to pick another iconic racket, it would have to be the Wilson T racket that Connors used for decades.  No other racket (besides Lendl's) was so synonymous with a player.

Becker's Puma

McEnroe's/Graf's Dunlop

Borg's Donnay

Navratilova's White Yonex

Lendl is only player I can think of that used the same racket his entire career.  The Kneissl, Adidas and Mizuno rackets he used were all the same mold from the original Kneissl White Star.

Your question is specious because it presumes that Lendl's racquet (note the spelling!) is the best tennis racquet "ever", which is, at best, arguable (i.e., is it the person or the equipment that makes a champion? I prefer to believe that a champion can get by with any equipment, as tennis legend Bobby Riggs often proved).

So, your question is asking for a personal opinion, of which there are many potential answers, all of which are, technically speaking, correct (i.e., how can you fault (no pun intended) someone's opinion?).

Given the above, your question cannot be answered, and, at best, should have been asked in the "Poll" forum.
