  1. bah and surrounding area is full of things to do, see other answer but if you want night life Bristol is not far you will definitely have fun there.

  2. http://www.visitbath.co.uk/site/whats_on

  3. http://www.cityofbath.co.uk/body_index.h...

check out this site, when we went we also did Royal Victoria Park for the Botanical Gardens. Assembly Rooms Museum of Costume, and also just walking the streets there are many performing street artists who are really good. As far as I can remember we walked to all of the above, with a good map none of them are very far from each other.

  4. we've been to Bath once just recently. [note: having accomodation close to the main part of town was a plus (location-location-location!) we stayed at the lovely, quiet and reasonably priced Parkside B&B which was close to The Royal Cresent and a nice 10 minute stroll through the park to city centre. It's on a quiet road opposite allotment gardens and we were able to safely park right outside B&B for just £3 a day; passes avaliable from lovely proprietess on request. parking elsewhere in Bath was mad and horrendously expensive].

Now, here is a suggested itinerary for one full day in Bath...

9.30am to 11.00am: Roman Baths (this is the best time to go as you're in the museum before the hordes of other tourists. the free audio tour is nice; we were fortunate to have an unoccupied tour guide give us a little private talk, friendly gentleman. you'll want to catch the general tour though, check times when you arrive at museum. great gift shop.);  11.00am to 1.00pm: Assembly Rooms and Museum of Costume (you can get a package price for The Baths, Assembly Rooms and Costume Museum.  A.R.  just down the road from The R. Baths. We weren't organized and didn't get a chance to go but could have fit it in at this point.); 1.00 to 2.00pm lunch at The Pump Room (back track the short distance to The Roman Baths/ The Pump Room. make reservations! no better place to experience lunch in Bath; posh but very good and you get to sample Bath's restorative waters for free); 2.00 to 4.00pm: Free Walking Tour (meet just outside The Pump Room. Our guide was great, some aren't; this was the best tour we had and it was free!: tour of Bath including all significant sites of historical interest with amusing and very informative commentary. lots of walking, so, wear stout walking shoes); 4.00 to 5.00pm: Bath Abbey (the walking tour ends back at The Pump Room/ Roman Baths and Bath Abbey is right accross the way! nice architecture and welcome sit-down opportunity after the walking tour ); 5.00pm: at this point some shops and attractions were closing for the day. may be able to catch some shopping at the near-by high street or retreat back to your B&B for freshening-up before dinner at Sally Lunns (oldest house in Bath. open til 10) or wait on dinner untill later so you may spend your summer evening enjoying a drive to neaby medievlal Lacock for a nice stroll through the picturesque village, reputedly the prettiest in England; by this time the tour buses are gone and the village is quiet.  There are places to eat and take drink in Lacock as well or you may go back to Bath for Sally Lunns.  At this point you may be tempted to go on the Bizarre Bath Comedy Walk at 8pm. don't. it was a bore and a big waste of time and money. instead spend evenings end at one of the many pubs in Bath.

This is a very full day of tourist activity in Bath, indeed, but believe me you can do it all because these activities are so close to one another. Unfortunately, we had to move-on to our next destination early the following day, but, if we were to do our England trip again, we would plan for an extra full day in Bath to be spent shopping in the high street and being pampered silly at The Thermae Bath Spa. After all the bath/spa experience is what Bath is all about isn't it?

there are many, many more things to do in Bath than this... please see www.visitbath.co.uk. for ideas; we found it very helpful.

      good luck!

  5. others have listed things in bath and appropriate websites but i live near bath and advise you to visit the surrounding areas as well - Bristol has a great history, many free public museums, shopping, a zoo and architecture to rival bath. in addition you should visit Wells - another wonderful little city. both these areas can be reached either by public transport or on tours. if your driving though, head onto the mendip hills - they're beautiful for lunch - stop at Blagdon (where i live!!!) and eat overlooking the lake.

  6. I have lived in Bath all my life :)

it's a nice place for tourists I guess, there's a lot of them here, but for teens it  is a bit boring, haha. Though it is a small place so it will be fairly hard to get lost

Oh, and at until September here, dont think it's odd if you see lots of random fake pigs around the place haha, because of King Bladuds and his pigs which went to the springs in Bath and made it famous...there are 100 different big models of decorated pigs all around here :)

Obviously, the Roman Bath's..have been there several times..and the new Bath Spa thats just been built is really nice...but try to avoid the lower part of town with shops, as there's lots of building work going on at the moment cause they are building a new mall..

I also would say going to visit the Crescent and No.1 Crescent...it's a lovely place and I think tourists tend to really like the georgian buildings, which Bath is full of lol

I would reccomend mainly staying in Bath and not going to many of the smaller villages/towns just putside bath like Batheaston/Twerton/Bathford...all very boring with no touristy stuff to do lol

There are millions of your personal tour guide of bath buses that you could go on to get your own tour, but you do stay on the bus..

I'd reccomend going to Parade Gardens, though if your not a resident here you have to pay, but only like £2 i think lol, it's nice just to relax there and on sundays there is a live band that plays in the bandstand..though dont get your hopes up...its not too great! haha

Also go visit Guild Hall Market...there's nice joke shops and sweet and material shops there, and theres a nice art museum in the Guild Hall..also The Clothes Museum is nice here with fashions through all decades...and you can try on old fashions corsets and stuff lol, oh and go to the Bath sweet shop!! it's a really nice little old fashioned sweet shop! :) and the Little Theatre is a nice old fashioned cinema, unlike the Odeon, which is modern...and Theatre Royal is nice if your into plays or anything..

that's about all the fairly fun stuff I can think of haha...the clubs here arent very good...you should go to Bristol if you want to go clubbing..and avoid pubs like 'The Boater' unless you want to be with a load of drunk teenagers with fake ID's haha!

Thats about all i can think of...remember to bring an umbrella with the c**p weather here...haha and have a nice time :)
